We are entering an era of sweeping destruction when it comes to protecting our children’s health and keeping our air clean. Whether you are a Democrat or a Republican, this is a big problem—no one voted for ripping apart clean air laws.

We are seeing a House that is making it a priority to kill a rule that prevents the waste of a resource we depend upon every single day: methane.

That same House is trying to get rid of all existing regulations.

We are seeing the nomination of an EPA Administrator who has built a career on suing the very agency that he has been tapped to lead.

Pruitt means we will see massive budget cuts at EPA. (Tweet this)

Pruitt means we’ll see massive cuts of the people who are responsible for enforcing our clean air protections.

Pruitt means the protections we have are going to be taken away. It means our air and water will become more polluted.

This isn’t what Americans want.

Ten years ago, I wouldn’t have been able to tell you who ran EPA, much less exactly what it did. Then I learned that the potent neurotoxin mercury, contaminating our food, was actually an air pollution problem. Mercury comes from the smoke stacks of coal-fired power plants. That was the beginning of Moms Clean Air Force. We are now a million people strong, demanding clean air for our children’s health.

Let your senators know: We are watching. The way they vote makes a difference in the way you vote when they’re up for reelection.

Pick up the phone. Let your senator know that Scott Pruitt is a dangerous nominee because he wants to dismantle the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
