HOW TO CALL YOUR ELECTED OFFICIALS TO TALK ABOUT MERCURY

We’re all used to text and email, and often that’s speedy and effective. But sometimes, the sound of a voice makes all the difference. Now is one of those times.

Your members of Congress must hear from you about your deep concerns over the Trump EPA’s attempt to undermine a bedrock pollution protection that is protecting the health of babies, the Mercury and Air Toxics Standards. It is unacceptable for the EPA to gamble with our children’s health for the benefit of coal industry polluters!

Unsure of who your representative is? Find out by entering your zip code HERE.

Having trouble reaching someone in the D.C. office? Senators have a number of in-state offices as well, you can find phone numbers for their district offices HERE.

WHAT SHOULD I SAY?

Let your Senator know who you are and where you’re calling from. Inform them of your concerns regarding the EPA’s proposal to weaken the Mercury and Air Toxics Standards and ask them if they will oppose this dangerous attack on our children’s health. Remember, your elected officials work for you, don’t hesitate to let them know what’s on your mind!

Use our current mercury petition as a guide on how to talk about this issue.
