Through your involvement in Moms Clean Air Force, we are standing together for clean, healthy air. With the power of your active voices on blogs, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, StumbleUpon, and many other tools, you are helping protect fetuses, infants and toddlers from toxic air pollution. But as every mom knows, nothing beats sharing a cup of coffee, a laugh, a great conversation, and even a hug. That’s why we are opening chapters of Moms Clean Air Force in several states.
We’re hoping parents will start talking to their elected officials about the air they’re sharing. We’re hoping political figures will hear from local pediatricians about the importance of cleaning up air pollution. We know the power of a face-to-face dialogue, and a handwritten, heartfelt note.
We want to say thank you, in person, to the leaders who vote to protect us. And we want to share information about how air pollution harms us. Above all, we want politicians to think about US–real moms, with real children–next time they’re being asked to vote against clean air. We aren’t statistics. We’re living, breathing, loving, people–and we all want the best for our children. Right now we are organizing in New Hampshire, Ohio, and Michigan. Please contact us if you want to organize in your state; we’ll do everything we can to support you.
