Using her background in community organizing, Julie helps supports the Moms Clean Air Force field team around the country.
In 2017, Julie co-founded the local climate action group 350 Fairfax in Fairfax County, Virginia, and she still serves as the group’s co-chair. Two years later she helped organize the Fairfax County chapter of Mothers Out Front. She serves on Fairfax County’s Energy and Climate Task Force and continues to advocate locally on climate issues, including transitioning to renewable energy, reducing plastic pollution, and electrifying school and transit bus fleets.
Julie spends her free time taking her daughter on “adventures” and running ultramarathons.
