Join Moms Clean Air Force and our partners for the Ohio Environmental Justice Speaker Series. This series showcases some of the most forward-thinking minds about how we can center the environment when we seek justice. Our speaker on May 20 will be Simone Lightfoot.
Simone Lightfoot is the Associate Vice President of Environmental Justice and Climate Justice at the National Wildlife Federation. In her role, she leads on a range of conservation, climate, and environmental issues from access to clean and affordable water to the transition of post-industrial cities, West Virginia coal towns, and coastal and offshore wind along the eastern seaboard.
Prior to her work at NWF, Lightfoot served in the U.S. Air Force and as deputy chief of staff in the Michigan House of Representatives. She also served with the American Red Cross, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the national staff of the NAACP, and as an elected trustee on the Ann Arbor school board.
