Our next Coffee & Climate Conversation will feature two special guest speakers: Dr. Lisa Del Buono, MD, President and Founder of the Michigan Clinicians for Climate Action, and Almeta E. Cooper, National Manager, Health Equity at Moms Clean Air Force.

Almeta and Dr. Del Buono will explore the critical impacts of rising temperatures on public health. Dr. Del Buono will share how climate change acts as a threat multiplier, exacerbating chronic conditions and creating new health challenges. Almeta will discuss the critical intersection of health equity and environmental justice, offering her insights into how we can address disparities while combating climate change.

This session will delve into how increasing heat exacerbates health issues and impacts vulnerable populations. We’ll also share what measures can be taken to mitigate these effects.
