The Black community is disproportionately burdened by pollution.

Learn more about how our communities are affected and how you can help protect families and children.

Health equity is fairness in health. Health equity is achieved when everyone has a fair chance to reach their best possible health. Health inequities occur when the conditions in which people are born, grow, play, learn, work, and age unfairly affect their access to opportunities to be healthy.

Access to a clean, safe environment is a key part of health equity. Clean air, water, and soil are not equally distributed, and climate change is making those inequities worse.  Climate change is also directly affecting the quality of the air we breathe and the water we drink.
