From wind to solar, the benefits of cleaner energy are massive and impact every single person living in the United States. Cleaner energy reduces health-harming pollution that hurts children, lowers energy bills, and creates thousands of new, well-paying jobs. Win-win-win.
And yet, despite these benefits, funding for cleaner energy projects across the country is at risk.
Tell Congress: Save Cleaner Energy to Protect Our Children
Federal clean energy tax credits, enacted in 2022, have already launched cleaner energy projects in neighborhoods across the nation. This welcome investment in clean transportation, energy efficiency for buildings and home appliances, and rapidly growing energy sources is universally popular.
This is partially because they’re hitting the average person’s wallet.
- They’re cleaning up the air in our communities, meaning fewer expensive trips to the emergency room for life-threatening asthma attacks.
- They’re providing well-paying jobs that put food on our family dinner tables.
- They’re lowering the cost of our electricity bills at a time when so many other everyday costs are continuing to rise.
Cleaner energy tax credits speak to the economic concerns we Moms share while also tackling the pollution that is worsening global warming, fueling expensive extreme weather, and hurting our children’s health.
Weakening, undoing, or otherwise disrupting these investments and incentives will only cause harm—to our health and our pocketbooks.
Join Moms in telling Congress to protect the positive impacts we are already seeing across the country from safer energy tax credits. Congress must continue to deliver economic, environmental, and public health benefits to all.
