Yesterday, EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin showed again that he really doesn’t prioritize children’s health. He sat before the Senate Appropriations Committee, trying to defend Trump’s proposal to cut more than 50% of EPA’s budget.
But this budget cut is indefensible. He had no reasonable justifications for no longer considering the public health costs of air pollution when writing regulations or gutting the scientific boards that advise the agency on clean air protections needed to keep our children safe.
He is failing to protect our children, the environment, and our health, and it’s time for him to go.

Yesterday’s hearing was the fourth in a series of congressional budget conversations that have put Zeldin’s recklessness on full display. With his name in the headlines, it’s time to turn up the heat.
Zeldin’s aggressive campaign to give polluters free reign over our country must come to an end today. Join Moms in telling Congress Zeldin must go.
