Giovanna Rossi is the New Mexico field organizer for Moms Clean Air Force. She is also President and CEO of Collective Action Strategies, LLC, a consulting firm dedicated to systemic change so that women and families thrive.
Giovanna was the first ever women’s health policy advisor for the State of New Mexico and was a women studies adjunct professor at the University of New Mexico. She is passionate about improving the health and lives of women and families through leadership development, work-life policy, economic self-sufficiency, health access, and environmental justice. Early in her career, she tracked and analyzed campaign contributions from the oil and gas industry, reporting on the impact of money in politics. She went on to work at the New Mexico State Legislature as a policy analyst and then as an advocate for women’s reproductive rights, working at the state and federal levels. She is the host of The Well Woman Show on NPR and a 2018 Women of Influence honoree. Her work has been featured in the Albuquerque Journal, City Desk ABQ, KRQE News, and New Mexico Political Report.
Giovanna holds a Master of Science degree in Public Policy from the London School of Economics and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish and Latin American Studies from the University of New Mexico. She lives with her husband, two kids, and two dogs on the land of the Tewa people near Isleta and Sandia Pueblos, known as Albuquerque, New Mexico.
