Ashley Hillard is the Moms Clean Air Force Field Organizer in North Carolina. After graduating from the University of Arizona, she pursued a career in film and television production in Los Angeles. She continues to work on documentaries focused on environmental policies and advocacy, especially the connections among biodiversity loss, climate change, and justice. While attending a wildlife conservation conference, she was inspired to tell the story of North Carolina’s red wolves. She started production on the documentary Coexistence, which gives a variety of perspectives on the issues surrounding wildlife management in the United States.
Ashley recently received a Master of Environmental Management from Duke University. During her master’s program, Ashley completed a Stanback Fellowship with the League of Conservation Voters and worked as a Communications Assistant for the Duke Environmental Law and Policy Clinic.
When not working or volunteering, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family (especially her nieces and nephew), hiking with her partner and dogs, reading with her cat by her side, thrifting, going to local restaurants, traveling, and going to the movies as often as possible at the Alamo Drafthouse.
