Moms Clean Air Force, Sierra Club Georgia Chapter, and Georgia Interfaith Power & Light commemorated Juneteenth through a conversation highlighting the injustices that African American people endure. Panelists discussed how Juneteenth marks a date of major significance in American history and showed us that freedom and racial equality have always been a hard-fought battle for black Americans – and that battle continues to this day. This event will examine those specific battles, and how individuals are working to move toward true environmental justice for all.
