Washington, DC– President Biden announced today that he is dropping out of the 2024 presidential race. In response, Moms Clean Air Force Director & Co-Founder Dominique Browning released the following statement:
“President Joe Biden has done more than any other president in history to protect our children from the growing ravages of climate change. He has tackled global warming pollution on many fronts. He has led Congress to bipartisan investments in clean energy and its deployment. He has led an EPA in crafting strong, durable protections against air and climate pollution. He has led the Department of Energy to fund innovations. He has committed countless resources to advancing environmental justice across sectors for the widest and most consequential impact.
“Over the last four years we have seen the Democratic Party grow more determined to do all it can to ensure a just and equitable transition to clean energy, 21st century jobs, and safer communities. We are deeply grateful, and honored, to have witnessed – and to have had the privilege of advocating for – the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and the Inflation Reduction Act. Never before have we had such productive partners joining the Moms Clean Air Force mission to protect children, and ensure a safe, stable and equitable future where they can all breathe clean air and where they are not negatively affected by toxic chemicals and other dangers related to climate change.”
