WHAT: Media are invited to join Moms Clean Air Force for a virtual webinar featuring a panel of esteemed experts from the Nevada Division of Environmental Protection (NDEP), Washoe County Air Quality Management, Clark County Division of Air Quality, Nevada Wildlife Federation, and Desert Research Institute (DRI). Panelists will explain how air monitoring systems work, why they are critically important, how this information is shared with the public, and the Air Quality Index (AQI). The discussion will also focus on the health impacts of pollution, the role of air quality monitoring in keeping our families healthy given the escalating threat of wildfires and climate change, and the EPA air monitoring grant programs funded by President Biden’s Inflation Reduction Act and the American Rescue Plan.
WHO: The webinar will be moderated by Moms Clean Air Force’s Nevada Field Organizer Jennifer Cantley and features:
