WHAT: On Monday, March 14, Virginia- and DC-area media are invited to an event on electric school buses with EPA Administrator Michael Regan in Vienna, VA. With a $5 billion investment in clean school buses recently secured through the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, EPA is poised to help hundreds of school districts make the switch from highly polluting, diesel-powered buses to zero-emissions, electric buses. Administrator Regan will meet with mothers, students, administrators, and advocates; ride an electric school bus currently servicing Fairfax County Schools; deliver remarks; and take questions from the press.
During the visit, Administrator Regan will participate in a roundtable conversation with Flint Hill students in their school library, participate in an electric school bus ride and deliver remarks in front of the electric school bus, stream live on Moms Clean Air Force’s Facebook Page. All portions of the event are open press. Space on the bus ride is limited and will be available on a first come, first serve basis.
