Washington, DC – Tomorrow, the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works will hold a hearing to consider the nomination of Michael Regan to head the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
In response to this hearing, Dominique Browning, Director and Co-Founder of Moms Clean Air Force, issued the following statement:
“Moms Clean Air Force wholeheartedly supports the confirmation of Michael Regan to head the Environmental Protection Agency. In Regan, we see someone who will prioritize protecting our children from air pollution and getting us on a path to climate safety. Regan will put people—not polluting industries—front and center.
“Regan will inherit an agency that must move forward to pursue an ambitious agenda to better protect the health of all Americans and redress the grievous social disparities in who gets clean water and who breathes clean air. It is clear that Regan cares about the future of our planet and that he understands the disruption that global warming is already wreaking in the US. And most of all, we know that he cares about the integrity of regulations that are based on the best available science.
“Regan is one of several cabinet nominees who will together make up the country’s formidable climate team. We look forward to working with Regan at the helm of a revitalized EPA. As advocates, we know that the right administrator in place at EPA will be an important step toward cleaner air, cleaner water, and a safer climate—for everyone.”

Moms Clean Air Force is asking Senators to support the confirmation of Michael Regan as EPA Administrator. Regan has shown, during his tenure as Secretary of the North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality, that he can work with both Republicans and Democrats to get things done.
