June 16, 2023– Moms Clean Air Force is honoring the significance of Juneteenth, a pivotal milestone in American history, through a special video reading of the Emancipation Proclamation. As an organization dedicated to upholding Justice in Every Breath, we believe that all people have the right to stand up in pursuit of freedom and justice.
In this short video, members, volunteers, and children of Moms Clean Air Force come together to pay homage to the courage and perseverance of those fighting against slavery. With deep respect and honor, we will recite the emancipation proclamation, a symbol of the beginning of the end of slavery in the United States.
In sharing this reading, we aim to foster understanding, support and empathy among our communities, and we hope to use this moment to reaffirm our commitment to dismantling the underlying causes of systemic racism, and advocate for environmental justice and remind us all of the importance to fight for justice and equality in all aspects of life.
