Federal Funding Poised to Bring Electric School Buses to North Carolina

WHAT: Join Moms Clean Air Force and our partners in North Carolina for a webinar about how and why to apply for electric school bus funding through EPA’s Clean School Bus Program. This program is part of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, and is set to distribute $5 billion in clean school bus funding to communities across the country by the end of 2026. Panelists will also discuss the health and climate benefits of transitioning to electric school buses, which unlike diesel and propane buses, do not produce tailpipe pollution.

WHO: The webinar will be moderated by Moms Clean Air Force’s North Carolina organizer Chelsea Lyons and features:

  • Dale Aspy, Environmental Engineer Region 4 Representative, Environmental Protection Agency
  • Kevin Harrison, Section Chief, Office of District Operations for NC Department of Public Instruction
  • Will Eley, Green Jobs Program Manager, NC Piedmont Environmental Alliance
  • Leah Brams, Market Development Associate, Highland Fleets
