Every day, the plastics industry is burning plastic trash and claiming this is a new way to recycle. They’re calling the process “chemical recycling” or “advanced recycling,” but it is neither “advanced” nor “recycling.”
Instead, “advanced recycling” incinerators produce contaminated oils and toxic ash and smother surrounding communities in hazardous air pollution.
This Halloween, we’re telling EPA we won’t be tricked by the plastic industry’s lies. We need strong action to protect our families from plastic incinerators.
