EPA has a clearly defined mission: to protect human health and the environment. But under the leadership of Administrator Lee Zeldin, the agency is making reckless, cold-hearted decisions that put our families, and especially our children, in danger.
Today, Moms Clean Air Force is proud to stand with 189 organizations, including the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Medical Association, in calling on Congress to hold EPA accountable. Administrator Zeldin must take responsibility for endangering the people we love—and jeopardizing the lives of generations to come.
Tell Congress: Hold Zeldin Accountable for Corrupting EPA’s Mission
The current EPA’s actions represent the most radical departure from congressional mandates and agency mission in EPA’s 50-plus-year history. Under Zeldin, the agency has unleashed an aggressive campaign that will
- cause more emissions of neurotoxic mercury and deadly soot from coal-fired power plants;
- make it easier for industry to put thousands of toxic chemicals—like formaldehyde and PFAS forever chemicals—into the products we buy and the air we breathe;
- increase climate-warming pollution from vehicles and power plants;
- cause more people to get sick—from asthma attacks, pregnancy complications and premature births, dementia, cancer, heart attacks and strokes, premature deaths, and mental health harms—all linked to pollution;
- increase the affordability crisis in U.S., as medical bills, health insurance, and electricity bills skyrocket;
- and so much more.
