Did you make a New Year’s resolution to contact your elected officials whenever Moms Clean Air Force posts an action alert? If so, you’re in luck!
Joseph Goffman has been nominated to serve as Assistant Administrator for EPA’s Office of Air and Radiation, which is responsible for all Clean Air Act protections—from cutting soot and ozone pollution to cleaning up mercury from power plants.
Moms believes Goffman’s leadership at the Office of Air and Radiation will enable greater protections for children’s health from air and climate pollution. These are just two of his strong credentials:
- He has served at EPA for more than 10 years, most recently presiding over clean air proposals like the clean power plant rule and stronger tailpipe pollution protections for cars and heavy-duty trucks.
- As associate counsel to the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee, he wrote Title IV of the Clean Air Act Amendments of 1990.
The Senate is scheduled to vote on Goffman’s nomination on Monday, January 8.
Please contact your Senators today to urge them to vote YES on the Goffman nomination.
