Last week, EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin stood alongside President Trump to announce the end of the Endangerment Finding—a foundational part of EPA’s ability to protect us from climate change. He called it the “largest deregulatory action in U.S. history.” We call it betrayal. With this decision, Zeldin and the entire Trump administration made it clear that EPA has no intention of working to make America healthy again.
Tell Congress: Hold Zeldin Accountable for Corrupting EPA’s Mission
Moms Director and Co-Founder, Dominique Browning, spoke with Scripps News about the rollback, warning that abandoning the Endangerment Finding will lead to more premature deaths, millions more asthma attacks, billions of dollars in healthcare costs, and higher electricity costs for children and families across the nation. Dominique was also quoted criticizing Zeldin’s decision as morally indefensible and aggressively ruthless in The New Lede, The Guardian, and The Verge.
Several Moms were featured in other outlets expressing their fear and disappointment with EPA. Ten-year-old Kids Clean Air Force member Talia called EPA’s actions “terrifying” in The Guardian, stating that she shouldn’t have to be at a rally fighting for her future. Pennsylvania Field Organizer Vanessa Lynch agreed, telling Inside Climate News, “We need to be able to depend on the EPA to live up to their job of protecting people and families across the country.”
