This is urgent: historic climate protections we fought hard for are under a credible and immediate attack. We need you to act today.
Tell Congress: Commit to Climate Investments
Over the last three years, we have made significant progress to cut climate pollution.
- President Biden and Congress passed the largest climate investment in U.S. history—the Inflation Reduction Act.
- Communities across the country have received much-needed federal funds to help pay for electric school buses, air quality monitoring, clean energy projects, local climate action plans, and much more.
- EPA set bold federal protections to reduce harmful methane, soot, tailpipe, and petrochemical pollution.
- And EPA proposed significant protections from mercury and other power plant pollution—which are on track to be finalized by the end of this month.
This progress is under attack. Some members of Congress are trying to gut the pathbreaking programs in the Inflation Reduction Act and roll back protections against harmful climate and air pollution.
But these programs and protections are more important than ever. Climate change is upon us. And as summer approaches, we’re bracing for another round of abnormally high temperatures, wildfires, record-breaking hurricanes, and more frightening weather events.
While we can’t control the weather, we can control the climate pollution that’s driving these extremes.
Make time today to reach out to your members of Congress and urge them to defend our climate. Our children’s health and future depends on it.
