Vanessa Lynch

Vanessa Lynch

Vanessa Lynch is Moms' field organizer for western Pennsylvania. She lives with her husband and two children in Pittsburgh, where she has been actively advocating for children's rights in education and environmental health. Pennsylvania has a long history of industrial activity and mineral extraction that has taken a toll on communities, and Vanessa has witnessed this firsthand as the oil and gas industry has brought fracking to her residential community. Since then, Vanessa has worked hard to protect children's health at the local, state, and federal levels. Her work has been featured in Yes! Magazine, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Tribune-Review, Public News Service (twice), Pennsylvania Capital-Star, WPXI, The Pitt News, Inside Climate News, Pittsburgh Union Progress, Forbes, The 19th, WJET, The Guardian, Bluedot Living, PA Environment Digest Blog, and on CBS Pittsburgh.

She has her undergraduate degree in English, a Masters of Education in Community Counseling, and over 10 years of experience working with children and families in the field of mental health, along with experience as a small-business owner. In her free time, Vanessa loves to hike, read, and make costumes for her children’s theater performances.

Contact Vanessa by email.
