Mom’s Clean Air Force will be attending Our Toxic Stuff at The Little Sprouts Children’s Boutique on Sunday, June 3 from 2-3:30. This is an informative event to learn about what types of chemicals are in our everyday products, how they can affect our health, and learn about ways to reduce exposure.
An XRF testing device, which immediately detects toxic heavy metals in consumer products, will be available. Please bring children’s products, pet toys, or other household items you’d like tested.
You will also have an opportunity to visit our Mom’s Clean Air Force table and write letters to Senator Stabenow. We want to urge her to NOT support Senator Inhofe’s CRA, which would essentially stop the new Mercury and Air Toxin Standards. The Mercury and Air Toxics Standards (MATS) will save thousands of lives and prevent more than 100,000 heart and asthma attacks each year while providing important health protections to the most vulnerable, such as children and older Americans.
