Press Statement February 21, 2023

WHAT: Join Moms Clean Air Force and a panel of experts to learn more about air quality in North Carolina and how the three air monitoring projects that received EPA funding will impact local communities. The grants for these projects were funded by the Inflation Reduction Act and the American Rescue Plan, and were awarded by EPA as part of the agency’s initiative to enhance air quality monitoring in communities that have been historically marginalized and overburdened by pollution. The funding is meant to improve ambient air quality monitoring and allow communities to collect new data on air pollution to address polluted areas.

WHO: The webinar will be moderated by Moms Clean Air Force’s North Carolina organizer Chelsea Lyons and features:

  • Jeffrey Robbins, Executive Director, Clean Aire NC
  • Jennifer Redmon, Director of the Environmental Health and Water Quality Program, RTI International
  • Dr. Li Han, Research Chemist, RTI international

WHEN: The discussion will livestream to our Moms Clean Air Force Facebook page on  Thursday, February 23, 2023 at 3:30 PM ET.The recording will be posted to our YouTube after the initial broadcast

WHERE: Join via zoom (https://us06web.zoom.us/j/87869630512) or check our livestream via Facebook. The video will be uploaded to YouTube as well.
