Moms and kids from across the country gathered in Washington, DC, last week for the first Play-In for Climate Action since 2019. This Moms Clean Air Force tradition brings together families for a day of fun and advocacy. Inspired by the concept of a “sit-in,” we coined the term “play-in” because kids don’t sit—they play!
This year’s Play-In had a special twist. Congresswoman Jennifer McClellan (VA-4) announced the introduction of a House resolution that advocates for adaptation measures to keep kids safe in extreme weather. Moms worked closely with the Congresswoman’s office to develop this resolution, which is an urgently needed step toward a safer world for our children.
