They Poisoned the World: Life and Death in the Age of Forever Chemicals Webinar

Investigative journalist Mariah Blake will share insights from her new book, “They Poisoned the World: Life and Death in the Age of Forever Chemicals,” a gripping exposé of the chemical industry and its decades-long campaign to hide the dangers of these substances. Drawing on years of reporting, the book reveals how these man-made chemicals—found in everything from lipstick and cookware to children’s clothing—have thoroughly polluted the environment and our bodies, endangering our health. They have also been linked cancer, infertility, obesity, diabetes, hormone disruption, and life-threatening pregnancy complications.

Becoming a mother inspired Mariah’s journey to understand the threat posed by toxic chemicals and what we can do to protect future generations. In conversation with Moms Clean Air Force National Field Manager Maria Finnegan, she will discuss her book, as well as:
