Black Americans Care About Climate Change (But It’s Complicated)

Moms Clean Air Force National Field Director Heather McTeer Toney will join Third Way on Tuesday, July 21, for a virtual discussion on the findings of recent qualitative research on the many perspectives of Black Americans on climate change. The event will begin with opening remarks from Congresswoman Lucy McBath (D-GA, 6th). Third Way’s Jared DeWese and Jackie Toth will walk through what we learned from our focus groups, and Time’s Justin Worland will moderate a panel discussion with Heather; Derek Green, Philadelphia City Council and NewDEAL Leader; Josh Freed, Senior Vice President of Third Way’s Climate and Energy Program; and Margie Omero, Principal, GBAO.
