EcoMadres convened community leaders, health professionals, and policymakers in Phoenix, Arizona, last week for their first-ever summit, Extreme Weather Impacts on Latina Maternal and Children’s Health. Speakers analyzed how—and why—Latina moms and kids bear the brunt of environmental injustices and called on leaders at every level of government to advance solutions that protect affected families.
