The Big Beautiful Bill is big, but it’s not beautiful. This legislation would slash investments in clean energy, gutting our recent progress on reducing climate pollution.
It would put our children’s health and future at grave risk—creating more harmful air pollution, more planet-heating greenhouse gas emissions, ever-worsening heat waves, wildfires, and hurricanes, and higher electricity and healthcare costs for families like yours and mine.
This is not the moment to stay quiet.
Tell the Senate: The Big Brutal Bill Puts Our Children’s Health at Risk
Cutting cleaner energy investments—which are already funneling into neighborhoods across the country—will decimate manufacturing projects that bring jobs to our communities and put food on our families’ tables.
It will wipe out air monitoring programs that help communities identify and protect themselves from major sources of pollution that is dangerous to breathe.
It will slow the transition from fossil fuel to renewable energy, causing greenhouse gas emissions to soar and threatening everyone’s future.
The quality of our future is at stake. If lawmakers sabotage our progress toward a cleaner energy economy:
- More families will face the trauma of wildfires and wonder when it will be safe for children to play outside again.
- More young people will be forced indoors by skyrocketing temperatures and extreme humidity.
- More families will be displaced by flooding and exposed to the diseases that floods can bring.
- More children will contract Lyme disease and other insect-borne illnesses as global warming increases populations of ticks, mosquitos, and other disease-carrying insects.
- More school days will be missed because of extreme weather; more parents will scramble to find childcare.
- More families will be saddled with the overwhelming financial burdens that come with endless weather disasters.
We cannot afford to cut investments in cleaner energy. Join Moms in telling the Senate to protect clean air, clean energy, and our children’s health and future.
