Wendy Bredhold

Wendy Bredhold is a writer and activist living in southwestern Indiana, within a 62-mile radius of 17 coal-fired power plants. Learning that fact in 2006 drove her to band together with concerned moms and form Air Aware, a group largely devoted to browbeating the local media into paying attention to air quality issues. She has been involved in climate-related activism since 2007, when she organized two local Step it Up National Days of Climate Action, a national effort led by Bill McKibben and students at Middlebury College. In 2012, she was trained by Al Gore and became a member of the Climate Reality Leadership Corps. Wendy blogs at hoosiermama and writes for Indiana Living Green magazine.
