Las Vegas, NV — Record-breaking heat, polluted air, and decade-high power bills are hitting Nevada families hard. For many Latino households, that means impossible choices: groceries or electricity, keeping children indoors to avoid asthma flare-ups, or risking unsafe heat exposure.
On Friday, September 12, EcoMadres will host its 2nd Annual Summit: From Heat to Hope – Forging Climate Solutions Through Community. The event will spotlight how extreme heat, air pollution, and rising costs are straining families – and highlight clean energy solutions that cut bills and protect health.
This year’s program will debut the Moms Clean Air Force Community Award, with the inaugural EcoMadres Clean Air Champion Award recognizing outstanding leadership in advancing healthier families and climate advocacy.
