Sophia Mora-Ortega was the Environmental Policy and Research Intern at Moms Clean Air Force in the summer of 2025 and a senior at Harvard College, where she concentrates in Social Studies. Sophia is currently conducting research for her senior thesis, which explores the intersection of environmental policy, political power, and grassroots resistance in Latin America. Committed to advancing justice for vulnerable communities, she plans to pursue a career in environmental law, advocating for equitable and sustainable solutions to the climate crisis.
Last summer, she interned with Defiende Venezuela, an organization dedicated to promoting and defending human rights through legal advocacy, research, and international engagement. This summer, she is excited to join Moms Clean Air Force, working to advance policies that put people before polluters.
