Elizabeth is the Moms Clean Air Force field coordinator in Brighton, Michigan. She also coordinates volunteer engagement for Moms across the US. She is a vegan chef, organic vegetable gardener, volunteer basketball coach, and long-distance runner.
Elizabeth and her family enjoy hiking, the outdoors, and spending time on their lake. She became a member of Moms Clean Air Force in 2012 and is an avid volunteer. She serves on Congresswoman Elissa Slotkin’s Environmental Advisory Board, the Brighton Area Chamber Environmental Council, and the Citizens’ Advisory Workgroup of the Michigan PFAS Action Response Team. Her work has been featured by the Associated Press, Public News Service, Michigan Advance, the Detroit Free Press, the Livingston Daily, New Yorkers for Clean Power, Metro Detroit, School Bus Fleet, WLNS, WILX 10, Fox 47, ‘Gander, Bridge Michigan, WGRT, and WXYZ Detroit. She is very passionate about this work, and it is deeply personal to her because Elizabeth’s son and niece both suffer from asthma and are affected by poor air quality.
Elizabeth believes that the ability to participate in well-organized demonstrations and meetings with local and state representatives will have a positive impact on all of our lives; she finds her involvement to be very uplifting. With the help of Moms Clean Air Force, “we get to stand up united with mothers, fathers, and children across Michigan to share our air quality struggles and make our stories relatable to our senators and representatives from our state.”
