Panelists Congressman Raul Ruiz (CA-36), MD; Arizona State Representative Raquel Teran; Mi Familia Vota's Colorado State Director Salvador Hernandez; and EcoMadres lead Cinthia Zermeno Moore discuss overlapping concerns in the Latino community around immigration, health, and our environment. With the full restoration of DACA—the program that allows 700,000 immigrant Dreamers to live and work in the United States legally—in limbo, along with 100 environmental rollbacks that weaken our clean air protections and public health made more fragile by COVID-19, the stakes could not be higher. Participants will offer intersectional insights between these seemingly disparate issues and propose solutions at the national and local level.
