Moms Clean Air Force joined the Environmental Defense Fund to discuss a project in Southwestern Pennsylvania to find orphan and abandoned oil and gas wells not currently in the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection’s database.
Beginning in late July, we will be using a variety of technologies, including drones, specially equipped cars, and on-foot inspectors with backpack magnetometers to identify abandoned oil and gas wells and associated methane leaks that can pose a threat to the local environment and public health. This webinar offers the opportunity to learn more about this exciting project.
