Let’s Get Rolling: Flagstaff for Electric Transit

Video

email Email Linkfacebook Share on Facebooktwitter Share on X

Excitement around electric transit is building across the country. Electric buses clean up the air for the people inside the bus, where dangerous diesel pollution is concentrated higher than outside the bus. Electric buses also reduce the carbon pollution heating up the climate. They are simply a safer way to get where we need to go every day.

Moms Clean Air Force hosted press event about electric transit at Heritage Square in Flagstaff on July 28, 2021. This event was part of a nationwide push to replace dirty diesel buses with better technology to reduce our families' exposure to harmful exhaust. Electrification of buses, cars, and trucks is also critical to solving the climate crisis, given that transportation is the largest source of global-warming pollution in our country.

Speakers:

  • Flagstaff Mayor Paul Deasy, City of Flagstaff
  • Jack Fitchett, MPA, Business Attraction Manager, City of Flagstaff
  • Jim Babbit, Owner, Babbit Ranches
  • Adrian Herder, Media Coordinator, Tó Nizhóní Ání
  • Dara Marks Marino, Research Specialist, Sr., Institute for Tribal
  • Columba Sainz, Moms Clean Air Force Arizona Field Consultant
