On February 17, 2023, Moms Clean Air Force and our partners hosted a roundtable discussion about major investments to improve air quality in Georgia.
The American Rescue Plan Act and the Inflation Reduction Act provided funding for community air quality monitoring programs. What’s that, you ask? Our panel of Georgia climate leaders tell us all about it and why it’s important for public health. They also highlight firsthand accounts from the communities that have received grants for air quality monitoring—to learn how these new funds can benefit local families.
Speakers:
- Garry Harris, Center for Sustainable Communities
- Dr. Anne Mellinger-Birdsong, Mothers and Others for Clean Air
- Dr. Neha Pathak, Georgia Interfaith Power and Light
- Lily Zwaan, Moms Clean Air Force
