Atlanta, GA – On Thursday, May 27, at 5:30PM ET, Moms Clean Air Force’s Georgia Chapter, along with partners Georgia Interfaith Power & Light and Sierra Club, will be co-hosting a conversation on Facebook Live about the intersection between climate and health equity. This conversation aims to connect the real-life impact of climate change on human health with Georgians’ day-to-day well-being.
WHAT: Roundtable discussion on Facebook Live about climate and health equity
WHO: Moms Clean Air Force’s Georgia organizer Almeta Cooper will moderate a conversation with the following panelists:
- Dr. Yolanda Whyte, an Atlanta physician who specializes in environmental health and focuses on the health impacts of environmental pollution and the health benefits of safe, sustainable, and low-carbon solutions;
- Dr. Maisha Standifer, Director of Health Policy for the Satcher Health Leadership Institute at Morehouse School of Medicine, whose work focuses on improving the health of under-resourced, racially and ethnically vulnerable populations; and
- Ms. Tracy Sprinkle Dawson, a metro Atlanta mother, wife, and health care lawyer whose energetic nine-year-old, Kyle, was diagnosed with mild persistent asthma in early childhood.
