Press Statement April 1, 2025

WHAT: Moms Clean Air Force will gather leading researchers, policymakers, mental health experts, doctors, and environmental justice advocates at the Moms Clean Air Force Annual Washington, DC Summit on Thursday, April 3, 2025 from 9am-12:30pm. The topic is: “A Health Crisis in Plain Sight: How plastics are poisoning our air, food, and bodies — and what we can do about it to protect our children’s future.”

The summit will explore the latest research on perilous impacts of plastics on the human lifecycle. Scientists, doctors, frontline community members, and government officials will discuss health impacts, reproductive harms, and environmental injustice. Participants will take away strategies for combating false solutions to the plastics crisis that the petrochemical industry is promoting, such as so-called “advanced recycling.”
