WASHINGTON, DC — About a dozen Moms Clean Air Force members and staff greeted the recently confirmed Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Administrator Michael Regan outside EPA Headquarters in the nation’s capital.

WHO/WHAT: On March 16, 2021, a small group of Moms Clean Air Force staff and volunteers delivered a welcome card to Administrator Michael Regan at the US EPA Headquarters in Washington, DC. Administrator Regan came outside to receive a card reading, “Congratulations, Administrator Regan! Kids are counting on you to fight for Justice in Every Breath”—signed by some 1,300 members—as well as a banner with children’s artwork.

BACKGROUND: On March 10, 2021, the Senate voted to confirm Michael Regan to lead the Environmental Protection Agency with strong bipartisan support. Moms Clean Air Force heartily applauds the confirmation of Regan to lead the EPA for he is poised to return the agency back to its vital mission of protecting human health and the environment. As clean air advocates, we are ready to work with Regan at the helm of a revitalized EPA and help it deliver on its promise of cleaner air, cleaner water, and a safer climate—for everyone.
