WASHINGTON, DC – Today, the EPA relaunched its webpage about climate change. The page had been removed from the site by the Trump administration in 2017.
In response to the relaunch of the page, Dominique Browning, Co-Founder and Director of Moms Clean Air Force, made the following statement:
“We teach our children that it is important to understand science, to gather facts, to do good research—in so many parts of our lives. When we complete a school assignment, it should be based on solid research. When we have to make a decision, we should collect information first. And when we go to the doctor, we expect that we are seeing someone professionally trained in the health sciences. So you can imagine how pleased Moms are that the agency charged with protecting human health from climate pollution is recommitting to understanding science, gathering facts, and doing good research. Today, we are relieved to see that the EPA is now actually going to post information about climate change on its website—again. The site was removed by a denier administration, and their denial is endangering all of us. It’s time to face reality. Science is back.”
