In conjunction with today’s publication in the New York Times of the editorial “Don’t Celebrate Earth Day. Fight For It,” leading clean air advocate and author Dominique Browning will be available to answer questions on why she is in full fighting mode on this 50th anniversary of Earth Day. The relentless rollbacks and relaxation of protections from air and climate pollution by Trump’s Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), led by Andrew Wheeler—in the midst of the terrible COVID-19 pandemic—defies belief.
Heather McTeer Toney, who last year published an editorial in the New York Times about black women’s leadership in the climate movement, will be speaking to media from her native Mississippi about why our field organizers across 15 states aren’t cutting birthday cake this Earth Day. Parade magazine profiled Heather as part of its annual Earth Day coverage for her commitment to helping people realize how climate change affects kids’ health.
Dominique and Heather are both available to share what they—together with our more than one million members—are doing today (and every day) to fight back against the dangerous and radical deregulatory agenda of Trump’s EPA.
