Royal Oak, MI — This Saturday, August 2 from 11:00am to 4:00pm ET, the Michigan Electric Vehicle Alliance (MEVA), Moms Clean Air Force, and partners will host the second annual Clean Cruise electric vehicle (EV) showcase. The event is FREE to the public and will bring together Michigan elected officials, EV industry leaders, and climate advocates from across Michigan to celebrate and promote clean transportation.
“As a mom of a child with asthma, I know firsthand the importance of clean air for our children’s health,” says Moms Clean Air Force Michigan Field Organizer Elizabeth Hauptman. “As this state’s organizer for Moms Clean Air Force, a national organization of over 1.6 million parents and caregivers dedicated to fighting for cleaner air and a healthier climate, I’m proud to join forces with the Michigan Electric Vehicle Alliance for the second annual Electric Clean Cruise. This collaboration is a testament to our collective commitment to ensuring a safer, healthier future for generations to come.”
“The Michigan Electric Vehicle Alliance is thrilled to announce and host the 2nd Annual Clean Cruise,” says Amy Rogghe, Executive Director, Michigan Electric Vehicle Alliance. “Electric vehicles are a crucial part of a cleaner, healthier, and safer future for our communities. The heart of that transition should live here in Michigan, where our Big 3 car companies have shaped the global automotive industry for more than a century. Maintaining this global leadership is crucial to the future of our state’s economy. The transition to zero-emission transportation must happen swiftly and equitably, ensuring all Michiganders have access to its benefits. I am proud to contribute to this transformation and to share the extensive benefits of electric vehicles with the people of Michigan.”
