This Is Zero Hour & Moms Clean Air Force Discuss #Vote4OurFuture

Moms Clean Air Force Michigan Chapter Leader Elizabeth Hauptman will join Zero Hour’s Detroit Fellow Khadija Khokhar to discuss the climate crisis, the #Vote4OurFuture campaign, and how all generations can unite to fight for clean air and climate action in 2020 and beyond.
About Elizabeth Hauptman:
Elizabeth is a vegan chef, organic vegetable gardener, volunteer basketball coach, and long-distance runner. She became a volunteer for Moms Clean Air Force in 2012 and became field organizer in 2018. Elizabeth believes that the ability to participate in well-organized demonstrations and meetings with local and state representatives will have a positive impact on all of our lives; she finds her involvement to be very uplifting. With the help of Moms Clean Air Force, “we get to stand up united with mothers, fathers, and children across Michigan to share our air quality struggles and make our stories relatable to our senators and representatives from our state.”
About Khadija Khokhar:
Khadija is the Detroit fellow for the #Vote4OurFuture campaign, which is led by This Is Zero Hour and National Children’s Campaign. Zero Hour is a grassroots environmental movement led by youth activists who are pushing for a more sustainable and livable future for all.
Working up to the November elections, Khadija is organizing to increase youth voter turnout across Southeast Michigan, especially for first-time voters and marginalized communities, and encourage them to vote consciously for the well-being of their planet.
