Red Road to DC Tour: Washington DC

The House of Tears Carvers of the Lummi Nation have carved a 24-foot totem pole to honor, unite, and empower communities working to protect sacred places. This summer, they will transport the pole from Washington State to Washington DC, drawing lines of connection between communities along the way. Moms Clean Air Force will join the carvers in Washington, on the National Mall, when they arrive on July 29.

The Red Road to DC is an opportunity to seize this moment of self-reflection across the United States and of acknowledgment of past and present injustices inflicted on Native Peoples and lands without consent. Moms will stand united with the House of Tears Carvers and Indigenous communities across the country to protect sacred places and fulfill our historic obligations to the First Peoples of these lands and waters. Join us in DC this July.
