Montana Youth Climate Strikes: Missoula and Bozeman

Montana Moms will join students in Bozeman and Missoula for the Global Youth Climate Strike. These events in Montana are just three of a series of strikes across the globe on September 23, 2022. Youth are joining together to draw attention to intensifying weather events around the world and their disproportionate impacts on low-wealth communities and communities of color.

We will join them to demand climate action and justice here in Montana. Here are details for all three events:

At 9:15 AM, Families for a Livable Climate will be at the Missoula office of Northwestern Energy (1903 S Russell St) for a family-friendly rally marking the delivery of a petition to NorthWestern Energy’s Board of Directors and executive leadership, calling on them to stop building out methane power plants and start the transition to clean energy. At noon, Fridays for Future Missoula will host a rally at Main Hall on the University of Montana campus.

At 4:30 PM in Glenn Rotary Battery Park, Bozeman, Moms will join Sunrise Movement Gallatin County as they demand that NorthWestern Energy prioritizes people over profit. Find details and RSVP HERE.
