Facts matter. But stories make them personal.
At Climate Week NYC, researcher, mom, and science communicator Dr. Jessica Knurick joined Moms Clean Air Force's Vanessa Lynch, Amanda Rowoldt, and Alexandra Zissu for a conversation about the power of storytelling to inspire action.
From the pollution associated with AI data centers, to toxic pollution from plastics facilities, to the chemicals we encounter in everyday products, these Moms are taking complicated issues and connecting them to people’s lives. And sometimes, speaking up can have a meaningful impact.
After Amanda shared her experience with pollution from an “advanced recycling” facility, her story helped spark an investigation. The facility was ultimately shut down.
Our stories also can give people a reason to act.
