The Endangerment Finding provides the legal foundation for EPA regulations that protect people in the U.S. from some of the largest sources of climate pollution, including power plants and transportation—and the Trump administration repealed it on February 12, 2026. This is an attempt to leave EPA powerless to limit the pollution that is heating up the planet and supercharging dangerous extreme weather.
On February 13, Michigan Moms joined Congresswoman Debbie Dingell and advocates for a press event about how this decision threatens the health of our families—especially our children—and drives up costs at a time when the prices of health care and insurance premiums are already soaring.
Speakers:
- Elizabeth Hauptman, Michigan Field Organizer, Moms Clean Air Force
- U.S. Congresswoman Debbie Dingell (MI-06)
- Teresa Homsi, MPH, Deputy Director, Michigan Clinicians for Climate Action (MICCA)
- Samantha Pickering, Public & Environmental Health Policy Manager, Michigan Environmental Council
